The Role: Care Assistant
Help vulnerable adults maintain their independence and dignity in their own homes. You'll provide compassionate, person-centred care while building meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
Your typical day: Visit 3-8 clients within a 5-mile radius, spending quality time with each person rather than rushing between calls.
Key responsibilities:
Personal care (washing, dressing, mobility assistance)
Medication reminders and health monitoring
Meal preparation and companionship
Light housekeeping and laundry
Maintain care records and communicate with families
Support with transfers and mobility
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Valid UK driving licence and reliable vehicle
Right to work in the UK
Genuine compassion for supporting vulnerable adults
Physical capability for mobility assistance and personal care
Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
Dependable attendance - clients count on you
Previous care experience (Community-based care)
Experience with elderly or disabled adults
Reliable Availability
Desirable:
Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
Basic first aid knowledge
Excellent Pay & Benefits Package
Competitive Rates:
Starting: £12.21/hour (Unqualified but Experienced)
Qualified/Experienced: Up to £12.75/hour
Travel time is paid between clients
Mileage: 25p per mile reimbursed
Enhanced rates: Enhanced Weekend rate of pay, time and a half on bank holidays (Up to £18.60 p/h), double pay on Christmas Day (Up to £25.20 p/h)
