Banksman

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Banksman to join our team at our Eggborough site. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient use of vehicles and plant machinery on site, with a strong emphasis on underground service safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and guide vehicle and plant movement on site in accordance with safety protocols.


• Direct and guide excavator operatives to ensure safe and efficient usage of Excavator


• Ensure clear communication with drivers and site personnel to prevent accidents and delays.


• Conduct visual checks and maintain awareness of site hazards, particularly in relation to buried services.


• Support site logistics and maintain safe access routes.


• Collaborate with site management to uphold health and safety standards.

Skills and Experience:

• Banksman certification with proven experience in a similar role.


• HSG47 qualification – understanding of locating and avoiding underground services.


• Strong awareness of site safety


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment.
