P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently looking for a Bar Manager on a full-time, permanent basis located in Great Yarmouth.
Job Summary:
As the bar manager you will be responsible for the overall management and performance, including staff,
operations, customer service, compliance, stock, sales and marketing. The role requires strong leadership,
effective delegation, forward planning and ownership of the venue to ensure it operates safely, efficiently
and commercially.
Main Responsibilities:
Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance.
Provide strong leadership and maintain a visible management presence.
Lead, manage and support Supervisors and the wider team.
Manage staff rotas, holiday requests, attendance and workforce planning.
Conduct one-to-ones, team meetings, inductions and staff training.
Address performance, conduct and staffing issues appropriately.
Maintain clear and professional communication with management and staff.
Ensure consistently high standards of customer service.
Oversee bar, hospitality, pool and snooker operations.
Manage stock, ordering, wastage, pricing and product performance.
Monitor sales, labour costs, cash handling and overall financial performance.
Ensure food safety, hygiene and compliance procedures are consistently followed.
Maintain health, safety, licensing, security and emergency procedures.
Ensure accidents, incidents, maintenance issues and hazards are reported and addressed.
Plan and manage staffing, security, equipment and operations for events and busy periods.
Oversee venue presentation, facilities and maintenance.
Develop and oversee marketing, social media, promotions and business development.
Monitor operational standards and take prompt action to resolve issues.
Escalate significant operational, staffing or compliance concerns to senior management.
Ensure agreed actions and management responsibilities are completed within required timescales.
Any other reasonable duties appropriate to the level and responsibility of the role.

Flexible working hours is required include evenings, weekends, bank holidays, major sporting fixtures, special events and peak trading periods.
