• Pay scale: £31,757.39 - £38,319 Per annum
• Location: Islington, North London.
• Job Type: Full-time, 6 Month-Fixed Term contract

We are seeking a dedicated Barbering Trainer for the Offender Learning Sector, based in Islington, North London. This role involves working with small groups of prison-based learners, delivering Barbering Level 1 and 2 qualifications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing learners’ skills, knowledge, and behaviours, supporting their long-term goals and aspirations.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Barbering Level 1 and 2 curriculum to small groups of learners.
• Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies that meet the needs of all learners.
• Monitor and assess learners’ progress, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
• Collaborate with other educational staff to enhance the learning environment and curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and compliance with institutional regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in developing an engaging and differentiated curriculum.
• Hold QTS / QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree or equivalent subject specialist qualification, or willingness to work towards this.
• Proven track record of teaching to a good or outstanding standard.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
