Bare Metals Manager

Our company, Demo Co, is currently seeking a talented, motivated, and forward-thinking Bare Metals Manager to join our dynamic team. As the leader in our hardware department, you’ll be responsible for overseeing, managing, and coordinating our bare metal servers and other infrastructure. Your role involves ensuring optimal operation of our bare metals across all business units.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the company's bare metal infrastructure, ensuring all servers are running efficiently, are secure, and that all maintenance and updates are conducted as needed
• Develop, implement, and monitor server procedures and controls to promote high performing and secure systems
• Collaborate with other information technology professionals to install new software and hardware, fix hardware or software related issues, and ensure the servers are up-to-date and functioning at optimal capacity
• Plan and execute projects related to network hardware installations, hardware replacements, and more
• Execute disaster recovery actions as needed and assist with developing new disaster recovery procedures and policies
• Provide leadership and expertise in the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions
• Guiding, training, and supporting team members in their professional development

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing bare metal infrastructure in a large company
• Strong knowledge of UNIX/LINUX System Administration
• Understanding of computer network, hardware architecture, and data infrastructure
• Experience with software and hardware troubleshooting
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment with complex problems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Resilience and flexibility to handle the fast-paced nature of the industry
