Bedding Designer

The Company:
Seeking a talented and innovative Bedding Designer. As a leading manufacturer and wholesaler of home textile products, they are committed to designing and supplying high-quality, innovative items to their customers.

The Textile Designer will be responsible for creating unique and appealing designs for their range of home textile products, including duvet covers, curtains, and other soft furnishings. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for colour, pattern, and current trends in the textile industry.

The Role:

• Develop and create new textile designs and patterns for our product line
• Collaborate with our design team to brainstorm and conceptualize ideas
• Research current trends and consumer preferences in the home textile industry
• Create sketches and digital renderings of designs using CAD software

• Select appropriate colours, patterns, and materials for each design
• Prepare design presentations for internal stakeholders and clients
• Work closely with the production team to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques

Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or a related field
• Proven experience in textile design, preferably in home furnishing
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and CAD programs
• Strong understanding of textiles, fabric construction, and printing techniques
• Excellent artistic abilities and a good eye for colour, texture, and patterns
• Knowledge of current textile design trends and technologies
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadline
