What could the role involve?

Depending on the individual school and pupil cohort, responsibilities may include:

Providing one-to-one and small-group behaviour support
Building positive relationships with pupils
Supporting students with SEMH needs
Helping pupils regulate emotions and behaviour
Encouraging positive engagement with learning
Supporting attendance and reintegration
Working alongside teaching and pastoral teams
Implementing individual behaviour strategies
Helping pupils develop confidence and resilience
Providing consistent boundaries and expectations

Behaviour Mentor
Behaviour Support Worker
SEMH Support Worker
Youth Worker
Pastoral Support Worker
Learning Mentor
Teaching Assistant with significant behaviour experience
Sports Coach with strong pastoral experience
Residential or youth support professionalExperience working with secondary-aged pupils and young people with additional needs would be particularly beneficial.
