Job Title: Bench Hand Joiner
Location: Leicester
Shift: 8:30am - 5pm, (Monday - Thursday), 8:30am - 3:45pm (Friday)
Salary: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

The Company:

A respected bespoke furniture company are looking for an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of woodworking and joinery, and will be proficient in using a variety of tools and machinery to assemble and fabricate wooden components.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret technical drawings and woodworking plans to construct and assemble wooden products
• Operate and maintain a range of machinery including hand router, edge bander, planer, spindle moulder, and other woodworking tools
• Measure, cut, and shape wood to precise measurements and specifications
• Ensure high quality and accuracy in all joinery and woodworking tasks
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet production deadlines and project requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner or similar role
• Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery such as hand router, edge bander, spindle moulder, etc.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and woodworking plans
• Strong attention to detail and precision in all woodworking tasks
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop environment

Day-to-day:

• Collaborating with the team to discuss project requirements and timelines
• Operating and maintaining woodworking machinery
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans to guide joinery and assembly tasks
• Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood to precise measurements and specifications
• Ensuring high quality and accuracy in all woodworking tasks
