Bench Hand Joiner

Our client, a well-established and respected joinery manufacturer, is looking to recruit an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled joiner with bench hand and machining experience to work within a professional manufacturing environment producing high-quality bespoke joinery products.

The Role

As a Bench Hand Joiner, you will be responsible for:

* Manufacturing high-quality joinery products from technical drawings and cutting lists.

* Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.

* Assembling and finishing joinery products to a high standard.

* Working accurately to production deadlines while maintaining quality.

* Following all health and safety procedures and wearing the appropriate PPE.

* Maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Working Hours

* Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm

* Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

Overtime is available during busy periods and all team members are expected to support production when required.

Typical overtime hours:

* Monday to Thursday: 4:45pm – 6:30pm

* Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm (times may vary, approximately 4 hours)

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

* A recognised Bench Hand Joinery qualification.

* A minimum of 2 years' bench hand joinery experience.

* Experience operating woodworking machinery.

* Experience working with laminates.

* Previous manufacturing and assembly experience.

* The ability to read technical drawings and take accurate measurements.

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* A good understanding of manual handling and workplace health and safety.

* Your own range of hand and battery-powered tools.
