Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen to join our highly regarded and commercially focused Bench Technical Service Team. The successful candidate will provide a consistently high standard of support, ensuring that customers receive an excellent experience. We are seeking an adaptable and dependable individual who is comfortable working in a varied role and managing changing priorities. You will demonstrate accuracy, strong organisational skills and a proven approach to problem-solving. The Service team supports customers with their engineering and technical requirements.  The team ensures our customers receive the best possible support and service, consistently of the highest standard.  As the Bench Technician, you will focus on providing professional technical service support for all Mindray products in accordance with established National Service policies and procedures.  Additionally, you will serve as a technical resource to support our customers, their team and the Service Engineers in the field throughout the UK

Your responsibilities:

• Provides technical service support on the maintenance, repair, inspection, and calibration of Mindray products for customers within Nation-wide.


• Provides technical services for inbound customer devices in relation to maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.  Also applies to Mindray demo devices


• Respond to customer calls and emails during office hours, Monday to Friday. Maintains positive, professional communications with customers, and service team members.


• Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and Liaising with the Service Supervisor / Manager to ensuring they are calibrated.


• Responsible for tracking and maintaining both spare parts and device loaner inventories allocated to them.


• Makes decisions based on company policies and procedures. Discusses and refers unresolved service issues with the Service Manager.


• Take responsibility for the effective management of your designated bench area, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace as per the Workshop 5s Standards.


• Other tasks or responsibilities designated by the Service Supervisor/Manager.

What are we looking for in you?

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent (HND/HNC) in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology with some relevant experience in servicing electronic equipment.


• Technically proficient in the troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of Electronic Medical equipment, or demonstrate experience in working on similar Electronic equipment.


• Well-organized in workshop facilities.


• Alongside a great eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure, you will showcase the right behaviours:
