We are seeking a Benefits Advisor to join a Bristol based Housing Association. This role offers a blend of home and office working in Bristol, providing a dynamic work environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

•    Provide budgeting and welfare benefit advice to customers, including completing Income and Expenditure statements, advising on benefits and grant applications, and signposting for additional support.

•    Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, such as Housing Benefit offices and the Department of Works and Pensions, as well as independent money, debt, or legal advice services.

•    Ensure the best outcomes for customers by leveraging your knowledge of the benefits system and your experience in supporting vulnerable customers with kindness and empathy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

•    Up-to-date working knowledge of the benefits system. 

•    Prior experience within a housing association / social housing 

•    Proven experience supporting customers in completing statements and applications.

•    Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners.

•    Strong decision-making skills, diplomatic and confidential approach.

•    Ability to prioritise a busy workload.

•    Must have a car and full driving licence as travel is required for the role.

•    A DBS check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
