The salary on offer for this position is between £60,000 and £65,000 and plus car allowance and benefits.
This role is hybrid with 3 days required on site per week.
BI Developer required for a leading construction company based in Addlestone. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in reporting, leveraging your expertise to facilitate a significant advancement in management information through the adoption of new technologies. A thorough knowledge of Power BI is essential, and familiarity with Azure and the Synapse/Fabric environment is highly desirable. You will mainly work with these platforms, in addition to other application-specific reporting tools, to ensure timely reporting and informed decision-making that propels our business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and enhance business reporting, modelling, and data integration systems.
Maximize the value of enterprise information assets and analytics to provide better decision-making insights, closely aligning with business strategy.
Assist in transitioning the business to improve in-application and Power BI reporting.
Oversee compliance of business information related to storage and reporting.
Identify and prioritize business requirements, ensuring successful implementation and monitoring of products.
Serve as a super user for business information projects, representing IT when necessary.
Maintain documentation related to the data warehouse and business logic used in semantic data models.
Ensure the ongoing stability of reporting and data integrations by monitoring the performance of reporting applications and managing upgrades and developments.
Key Skills:
Experience working with Power BI.
Familiar with ETL tools and principles, including Azure, Synapse, and Fabric environments.
Proficient in developing complex BI reports utilising multiple data sources and joins.
Comprehension of the necessity for detailed formal technical documentation, such as User Requirements and Functional Specifications, with the ability to translate these into technical specifications, programming, test and UAT scripts, and training materials.
