We are looking for a talented Bid Manager to join our growing Business Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-value bids from qualification through to contract award, helping shape the future growth of a leading engineering business supporting the defence and maritime sectors.
What you will be doing:
Managing the complete bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification through to submission, contract award and handover. Developing winning bid strategies that drive business growth and maximise win rates. Acting as the primary customer contact throughout the bid process. Leading bid kick-off meetings, managing bid plans, reviews and submission deadlines. Coordinating cross-functional teams across Engineering, Commercial, Project Management, Supply Chain and Operations. Preparing compelling technical and commercial proposals, delivery plans and tender responses. Managing customer onboarding, due diligence and CRM opportunities. Supporting smooth project handovers and coordinating future resource requirements. Driving continuous improvement of bid processes and best practice.What we are looking for:
Proven Bid Management experience, ideally within the Defence, Maritime or Aerospace sectors. Experience working within a complex engineering or technical environment. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines. Strong written communication and proposal writing skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and CRM systems (Dynamics desirable). A collaborative team player with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.This is an exciting time to join a growing organisation with ambitious plans for the future.
