Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Bid Writer to come and join our Marketing TeamTeam - MarketingPermanent - Full timeSalary - £35.000 dependent on experienceLocation - Cardiff | HybridAre we the business for you?Capital is a growing business. We aim to be exceptional, both in the way we work and in the combination of our services.The RoleTo help us in the next phase of our growth we’re looking for a detail-orientated Bid Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality content for bids and proposals in response to Public and Private sector RfP. ITT and other tender documents. The Bid Writer will work closely with various departments to ensure that all bids are comprehensive, compelling, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:Develop and write clear, concise, and persuasive bid proposals that meet the requirements and evaluation criteria of the tendering authority.Work closely with the Senior Bid Manager, sales, project management, finance, and technical teams to gather necessary information and insights for the bid.Proactive development of win themes, answer strategy and engaging client focused content with relevant stakeholders.Review, edit and proofread proposals to ensure they are error-free and of the highest quality.Ensure all proposals are compliant with the tender requirements and guidelines, including formatting, content structure, and submission deadlines.Maintain and update a library of bid responses, ensuring all information is current, relevant and maintains the house style.Support the end-to-end bid process under the supervision of the Senior Bid Manager.Conduct research on potential clients, industry trends, and competitors to tailor bids accordingly.Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for client meetings related to bid submissions.Provide feedback and recommendations for improving the bid process, content, and overall win rate.Coaching partners and legal teams in best practice.Support the development of presentations.Support with internal policy/procedure writing, marketing collateral (including blog posts, website content etc) and other content as required. Key Competencies: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in bid writing, proposal management, or a similar role.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong project management and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Knowledge of industry-specific software or databases is a plus.Analytical and critical thinking skills.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.Previous relevant experience in the legal sector is desirable but not essential.Member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) desirable In return, we offer.flexible working: you will have the ability to work between home and the office as required.health and wellbeing: subsidised in-person and virtual yoga, wellbeing events and our ‘Time to Move’ scheme, offering colleagues time to simply get away from their desks.career development opportunities: we are a fast-growing and ambitious firm.
