BIM Modeler

Randstad are partnered with a leading engineering and construction firm, actively seeking a highly skilled BIM Modeler to join their project delivery teams. This isn't just any role; you'll be contributing directly to a critical Thames Water project, making your expertise vital to its successful execution.

Given the nature of this project, we are looking for someone with an extensive construction or engineering background. Your deep understanding of these disciplines, coupled with your core expertise in Revit, will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the BIM models.

As a BIM Modeler, you'll be responsible for the precise production, refinement, and ongoing management of BIM models. This includes:

• Model Creation and Adherence: Generating comprehensive BIM models in strict accordance with the BIM Execution Plan and defined information requirements.
• Resource Optimization: Utilizing and contributing to shared project resources, including templates and families, to ensure consistency and efficiency in model development.
• Data Integration: Accurately inputting data into model elements, maintaining compliance with established information management protocols set by the Information Manager.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Actively participating in coordination meetings to facilitate seamless integration and clash detection across various disciplines.
• Process Acumen: Demonstrating a thorough understanding of advanced BIM processes, including 3D and 4D dimensions.
• Software Proficiency: Exhibiting expert-level proficiency in authoring BIM software.
• Disciplinary Expertise: Applying in-depth knowledge of the specific discipline being modeled to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Common Data Environment (CDE) Navigation: Possessing familiarity with and effectively utilizing the organizational structure of the Common Data Environment.
• Timely Deliverables: Issuing BIM design models precisely and punctually, meeting all stipulated deadlines.
• Information Extraction: Generating essential information and documentation from BIM models, including plans and schedules.
• Resource Development: Creating necessary modeling resources, such as families and schedules, under the guidance and supervision of the BIM Manager.
• Interference Resolution: Collaborating with other disciplines and leveraging the support of the BIM Manager and technical office lead to detect and rectify interferences within the models.

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field.
• Essential Software Skills: Your proven proficiency with Revit is absolutely critical for this position. My client specifically prioritizes strong Revit knowledge for immediate impact.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail is paramount for this role.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking skills to interpret complex design data and resolve issues.
• Project Experience:Demonstrable experience working on industrial projects is essential.
• Industry Knowledge: Given the project, knowledge of the water and construction business sectors is considered a significant advantage.

Our client offers a highly competitive package for this critical role:

• Base Salary: £44,000 to £55,000
• Performance Bonus: An annual bonus of 8% of base salary
• Pension Scheme: Employer and employee contributions of 4% each.
