Job Description - Bonded Goods Manager

Bonded Goods Manager

Location: Fareham
Salary: Competitive
Hours - 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday

Dynamite Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a successful local business to recruit for an experienced Bonded Goods Manager to oversee the operations of our bonded warehouse handling duty suspended goods, primarily alcoholic beverages. This is a key role that involves close liaison with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) to ensure all regulatory requirements are met and that all processes related to duty suspension are managed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the bonded warehouse operations including intake, storage, tracking, and release of duty suspended goods.
Ensure all goods are correctly documented, tagged, and stored according to regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
Oversee timely submission of required documentation to HMRC, such as W5 forms and other duty payment records.
Maintain accurate records of goods entering and leaving the bond, managing stock discrepancies or damages.
Coordinate with customers storing goods under duty suspension, handling intake notes, notifications, and requests for goods release or duty payment.
Manage third-party warehousing operations for duty suspended items, ensuring smooth communication and compliance.
Liaise with HMRC both online and via direct communications to maintain compliance and resolve any issues.
Identify process improvements and ensure best practices are implemented in bond management.

Candidate Profile:

Proven experience working in bonded warehousing or duty suspended goods management.
Strong understanding of HMRC regulations and experience in submitting required documentation on time.
Ability to manage complex processes involving inventory control, compliance, and customer liaison.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with warehouse management systems and online HMRC portals.
Confident in communicating with regulatory bodies and managing third-party relationships.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently to manage a broad range of operational responsibilities.
