Bookeeper

Location: Seaford, East Sussex
Salary: £24,000 – £32,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, permanent

An established and friendly accountancy practice in Seaford is looking to welcome a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident professional who enjoys working with a broad range of clients and thrives in a supportive, close-knit environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing bookkeeping duties for a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors

• Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns

• Using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage

• Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries

• Supporting accountants with year-end preparation where needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice environment is essential

• Solid understanding of VAT and general bookkeeping principles

• Proficiency in cloud accounting platforms

• Excellent communication skills and client service approach

• AAT qualification is desirable but not essential if experience is strong
