My client, a well-respected accountancy firm based in Kilmarnock, is looking for a confident, capable Bookkeeper to join their friendly, close-knit team. The company specialises in supporting small, family-run businesses across the agricultural sector, from sole traders to limited companies.

?? The Role:
This position will play a key role in delivering efficient, accurate bookkeeping services and supporting clients with digital tax compliance. Responsibilities include:
* Preparing VAT returns and financial accounts
* Assisting with payroll and PAYE
* Processing digital tax submissions (Making Tax Digital - MTD)
* Handling purchase invoices, credit notes, and ledgers
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
* Managing payment runs in line with company policies
* Supporting general finance admin tasks and liaising with clients

?? The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
* Experienced in bookkeeping, accountancy, and taxation
* Confident using Xero and Sage
* Familiar with Making Tax Digital (MTD) processes
* Comfortable supporting payroll
* Ideally experienced in accountancy practice (not essential)
* A team player who enjoys a supportive, sociable work culture
* Loyal, trustworthy, and committed to building long-term professional relationships
* A background in agriculture is desirable but not required
