Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE
Hours: 30–35 hours per week, flexible over 4 or 5 days

Known for their attention to detail and professional approach, this team is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join their ranks and contribute to the smooth running of the business.

The Role

As their Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s financial records and ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations. Reporting directly to the Directors, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining accurate financial records, including purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Recording day-to-day transactions and completing the posting process.
• Managing the CIS procedure/process.
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts.
• Processing year-end journals.
• Handling accounts receivable and payable promptly.
• Overseeing cash receipts, bank deposits, and supplier payments.
• Managing credit control.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Overseeing petty cash and ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.

This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

• AAT Level qualification (or higher).
• At least 3 years of experience in Accounts/Bookkeeping.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience using Xero.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset to support the wider team when needed.
