Bookkeeper

Bennett & Game are delighted to be partnering an innovative and growing Accountancy Practice in Bolton as they recruit for a Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team. Depending on experience they are offering up to £32,000, health insurance, company car scheme, study support, pensions scheme, and more.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services. The role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a growing practice at an exciting time

• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements on relevant accounting software (Xero, QB, Sage etc.)
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
• Prepare and file VAT returns
• Provide support to our team of accountants, as needed
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting regulations and legislation
• Maintain confidential financial information
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a bookkeeping role
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting regulations and legislation
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft office
• AAT or equivalent qualification is a plus
