Bookkeeper – Accountancy Practice
Salary: £24,000 – £32,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location: Brighton, East Sussex

We are working on behalf of a well-established and friendly accountancy firm to recruit a dedicated Bookkeeper to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of working with a range of clients across different sectors, and who thrives in a practice environment.

The Role:

As a Bookkeeper within this supportive firm, your duties will include:

• Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients

• Bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns

• Assisting with management accounts

• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and ensure accurate records

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a UK accountancy practice environment

• Strong bookkeeping and VAT knowledge

• Familiarity with cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage

• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach

• A positive, team-oriented mindset
