Bookkeeper

We are recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a small, well established Brighton based chartered accountancy firm.

The firm have been successful in winning a lot of new business and so are looking for an additional Bookkeeper to join their lively and highly skilled team. The role will involve supporting the managers in preparing bookkeeping and VAT returns for range of SME clients. You will also advise and train clients on a range of cloud software issues and assist in payroll and management accounting. The firm has a varied range of clients, and they aim to provide high standard from a technical and customer service point of view.

The firm is based in a central Brighton location. They offering an excellent salary and benefits, including the possibility of study support towards AAT or ACCA. They will consider one or two days per week working from home once you have successfully completed your probationary period.

About you:

- Solid experience of bookkeeping in an accountancy practice environment

- Positive attitude, with high standards of work and good customer service skills

- Maybe AAT qualified, but practical experience is more important

- Live within reasonable commuting distance of Brighton
