?? We're Hiring: Bookkeeper | Essex | Full-Time

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking to join a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice? We're a small but ambitious firm based in Essex, and we're on the lookout for a proactive, detail-oriented individual to become a key part of our friendly and dynamic team.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with a range of clients and get involved in exciting project work as our firm continues to grow and evolve.

• Providing day-to-day bookkeeping services for a portfolio of clients

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns

• Assisting with management accounts preparation

• Supporting the implementation and setup of accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) for new and existing clients

• Working closely with both clients and our internal team to ensure smooth and accurate financial reporting

• Getting involved in ad-hoc project work as part of our wider service offering

• Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts assistant role (practice experience preferred but not essential)

• Strong working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)

• Confident with VAT and good understanding of general accounting principles

• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
