Bookkeeper

We’re working with a reputable, independent business with a fantastic local reputation. They’re on the lookout for a self-employed Bookkeeper to take the reins on a wide variety of day-to-day finance tasks. Everything from reconciliations to management accounts. This is a brilliant opportunity to work with a growing business that values trust, transparency, and top-quality work.

The essentials:

• Self-employed with capacity for 20–30 hours per week
• Based in or near Northamptonshire
• Must be at least AAT qualified – ideally an AAT Licensed Accountant, so you're regulated and able to offer additional services like In House Management Accounts

The role includes:

• Monthly commissions collation and performance tracking
• Bookkeeping and Xero wizardry
• Supplier payments and liaison
• Auctions support – bank reconciliations and processing paperwork
• Inter-company balancing and Trial Balance reviews
• Producing In House Monthly Management Accounts
• Journals (prepayments, accruals etc.)
• Payroll duties
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Bank reconciliations, rental payments and ALTO system processing
• Posting agency fees into Xero
