Bookkeeper

Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Ashford
Salary:£30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full time/permanent

We are looking for a Bookkeeper on behalf of our Ashford based client. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in completing VAT returns and have a comprehensive understanding of leading accounting software, including Xero and Quickbooks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and precise completion of VAT returns for various clients.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date financial records utilising accounting software such as Xero and Quickbooks.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts with supporting documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and ensure best practices.
• Provide insightful financial reports and analysis as required.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in completing VAT returns.
• Proficient knowledge and experience with accounting software, particularly Xero, Quickbooks, and similar platforms.
• Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred but not essential).
