Accounting Technician/ Bookkeeper- Belfast City Centre

Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of Northern Ireland’s most well-known and reputable accountancy practices, with offices based in both Belfast City Centre and Lisburn.

Our client has two new exciting opportunities, one within their Belfast Office and one within their Lisburn Office.

These positions have come about due to company expansion, and the successful applicant will be offered a full-time permanent role with a competitive salary. Hybrid working options are also available.

Previous experience working within a Practice Setting would be beneficial but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Solid experience in bookkeeping, preferably within an accountancy practice or similar environment
• Proficient in preparing VAT returns, year-end accounts, and management accounts
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Confident communicator with a client-focused approach

Criteria:

• A minimum of 2+ years’ experience working at a Bookkeeping/ Assistant Accountant / Accounting Technician level
• IT Proficient
• The ability to work independently and as a team player
