As Bookkeeper, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting tax preparation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You’ll work closely with a friendly and collaborative team, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using cloud-based software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
• Handle accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Assist with payroll and statutory filings
• Support tax submissions and liaise with accountants and clients
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting
• Ensure compliance with HMRC and accounting standards

• Experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role (practice experience a plus)
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
• Strong understanding of UK accounting principles and VAT
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• AAT qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A proactive, client-focused approach
