Bookkeeper - Facilities & Construction - £26k - £28k DOE - Basildon

A well established, successful business within the Construction industry, based in Basildon is looking for a Bookkeeper to assist with the day to day running of their accounts department.

The successful candidate will report to the director and be responsible for all basic book-keeping up to trial balance.

To meet the needs of a SME construction company with multiple projects running at one time, the candidate must also be willing to undertake general office support responsibilities too from time to time.

QuickBooks Online Bookkeeping experience is essential, preferably with construction company experience

Duties:

• Raise and upload invoices and send to multiple clients
• Invoice processing and managing internal sign off procedure
• Managing Sub-contractor invoices, queries,Sub-contractor verification
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit Control
• Record supplier invoices on our system and pay bills in accordance to supplier terms
• Weekly and monthly payroll information
• Weekly expenses reconciliation and payments
• Monthly VAT Returns
• Monthly VAT Returns for Quarterly reporting
• Bookkeeping and providing financial reports for review with Commercial Manager

The candidate:

• QuickBooks Online experience is essential
• Preferably with experience within the construction industry; CIS knowledge and experience is ideal

• Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 hour for lunch

• Paying between £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
