Bookkeeping and Payroll Trainee

Fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Bookkeeper / Payroll Administrator to join a well established and continually growing Accountancy Firm based near Bingley.

This firm offers a variety of services including audit, statutory and management accounts, taxation advice, bookkeeping, and payroll.

The role will provide full training, though some experience of bookkeeping and / or payroll would be beneficial. Time will be split between bookeeping and payroll departments which will be flexible dependant on workload demands.

About the role (to develop with experience):

• Bookkeeping using a variety of software packages including Sage and Xero
• Assisting senior team members in bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
• Payroll processing using Sage payroll software
• Assisting senior payroll team members with payroll preparation
• Preparing VAT return
• Working within a team and generally assisting senior members of staff
• Some general office duties as required

There is potential for further study towards the AAT qualification.

To be a successful applicant for this position, you should meet the following:

• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Be organised and methodical
• Be experienced with IT, in particular Microsoft Word and Excel
