Bottling & Procurement Manager

Job Description - Bottling & Procurement Manager

Bottling and Procurement Manager

Speyside, near Grantown-on-Spey
Full-time | Day shift | On site 5 days a week

Do you enjoy turning forecasts into production plans and making sure everything is ready when it’s needed?

Thistle Rose Recruitment is working with a family owned spirits business to recruit a Bottling and Procurement Manager. The main focus is production planning, scheduling and coordinating materials across a portfolio of whisky and rum brands.

Based at its Speyside distillery, you’ll work with external bottling partners to organise production. This is predominantly an office-based role, with visits to bottling sites.

The role

You’ll use commercial forecasts to plan what needs bottling, how much and when. You’ll keep schedules up to date and make sure spirit, packaging and production capacity are available to meet demand.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Building short, medium and long-term production plans.

* Booking capacity and agreeing schedules with bottling partners.

* Coordinating spirit, bottles, labels, closures and other packaging ahead of production.

* Adjusting plans as demand, stock availability or supplier lead times change.

* Keeping production instructions and ERP records accurate.

* Reviewing stock, material usage and production yields after bottling.

* Planning material requirements for new product launches.

* Working with suppliers on purchasing, pricing and delivery dates.

* Spotting potential delays early and finding practical solutions.

You’ll report to the Head of Supply Chain and Logistics and provide day-to-day support to a Supply Chain Coordinator.

About you

This could suit a Production Planner, Supply Chain Planner or Materials Planner looking for a broader role, or someone already managing planning and procurement.

You’ll bring experience of coordinating production schedules, managing material availability and working with suppliers. Drinks industry experience would be useful, particularly spirits, although relevant FMCG or manufacturing experience could also transfer well.

You’ll need to be confident with Excel and ERP systems, comfortable working with forecasts and stock figures, and able to keep several production deadlines on track. Purchasing and supplier negotiation experience will also be valuable.

What’s on offer?

* Day shift working.

* 25 days’ holiday plus Scottish bank holidays.

* 10% employer pension contribution, with a 5% employee contribution.

* Private medical insurance, including emergency dental cover.

* Income protection.

* Life assurance at 4 times salary after 1 year.

* £250 annual product allowance.

* Employee discounts and wellbeing support.
