Brake Press Setter Operator / CNC Machine Operative

Brake Press Setter Operator with proven experience of setting and operating CNC brake press machines, who can interpret technical drawings and has a good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, is required for a well-established Design and Manufacturing Company based in Isleworth, Hounslow, Middlesex.

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 17:00, Friday 07:30 - 12:30

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Brake Press Setter Operator with proven experience of setting and operating CNC brake press machines, who can interpret technical drawings and has a good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.

Working as the Brake Press Setter Operator you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Brake Press machines to bend and form sheet metal components according to precise specifications.

As the Brake Press Setter Operator you will need to be flexible and sympathetic to the company’s needs on delivery, whilst acknowledging and following all Health & Safety regulations.

DUTIES

Your duties and key responsibilities will include:

• Set up and operate CNC brake press machines (e.g. Amada)

• Interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances

• Perform quality checks using measurement tools (verniers, gauges)

• Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Report any production or quality issues to the supervisor

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The Brake Press Setter Operator will have the following skills:

Essential

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC brake press machines

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings

• Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable

• Experience with Amada or similar CNC machines

• Basic computer literacy for programming adjustments

• Forklift or crane license (advantageous, not essential)
