We are delighted to be working with a progressive broking group with offices across the UK and beyond. We are looking for an experienced Branch Director to provide leadership and direction for a long standing and highly successful team in Leicester.

As Branch Director you will:-

• Lead and direct the Branch including sales, service and operations.
  

• Manage the branch P&L as well as budgetary process.
• Organise, motivate and develop staff to fulfil Branch and Group objectives. Ensuring effective communication and performance appraisal takes place as appropriate.
• In conjunction with colleagues manage employment, disciplinary and Health & Safety issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Be responsible for the overall branch compliance including complaint handling, adequate supervision and third-party relationships.
• Develop Client and Insurer relationships to maximise business opportunities and achieve your Key Performance Indicators including income targets.
• Undertake general broking activities including dealing with:
  • Clients' queries and correspondence.
  • New Business, Renewals and Adjustments including reviewing the adequacy of the covers and suitability of the terms being offered. Ensuring clear communication of terms, conditions, warranties and pricing.
  • Insurer surveys ensuring risk improvements are implemented and adhered to. Including communication with Clients if the basis of cover and /or terms is changed as a result of the survey.

As Branch Director you will have:-

• An ability to demonstrate an ability to manage a team to the successful delivery of financial/non-financial targets
• An understanding of the broking market
• Good knowledge of sales techniques
• Good working knowledge of General Insurance contracts including Property, Casualty and Motor classes
• People Management experience
