JOB TITLE: Branch Manager - Timber Products

LOCATION: Middlesbrough, Stockton, Darlington, Northallerton, Durham, Sunderland

INDUSTRY: Timber Products

SALARY: £50,000 + Bonus

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded supplier within the timber products and industrial supplies sector. They offer an extensive range of products including timber, decking, fencing, gates, fittings, roofing materials, and tools. Serving a broad customer base from commercial and industrial clients to builders, developers, and tradespeople, the company has built a strong presence across the North West.

As part of their continued growth and commitment to excellence, they are now seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead and develop operations at one of their key locations.

The Role

As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all branch operations, driving sales performance, and managing a team to deliver exceptional customer service and business growth. This is a pivotal role that requires strong leadership, industry knowledge, and a commercial mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and compliance with company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Drive sales performance through proactive account management and business development initiatives.
  • Maximise profitability by effectively managing key accounts and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to branch staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Report key metrics and updates to the senior management team in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of products and industry trends to better serve customers and stay ahead of competitors.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' proven sales success in the timber or industrial supplies sector.
  • Prior experience in a Branch Manager or similar leadership role is essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general business systems.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and eager to contribute to a growing organisation.
