British Sign Language Level 2 Teacher

Job Title: BSL Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Northfield Area (ASAP Start)
Location: Northfield, Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Negotiable - Competitive rates based on experience
Contract Type: Long-Term (with potential for ongoing work)

Applebough Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 to support pupils in a school setting in the Northfield area.

Key Requirements:

• MUST hold a minimum of BSL Level 2 qualification

• Experience supporting pupils with hearing impairments or additional communication needs

• A patient, proactive and nurturing approach

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)

The Role:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis using BSL to aid communication and learning

• Collaborating with teachers and SENCO to implement individual support strategies

• Helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
