Job Title - Advanced Communication Support Worker
Salary - £30,000 - £31,000 per annum (pro rata)
Location - Lincolnshire
Contract Type - Permanent, Part-Time, 24 hours a week (Term-Time Only)
We are seeking a dedicated educational support specialist to facilitate accessible learning experiences for hearing-impaired students within a further education setting.

Role Responsibilities
Adapt instructional materials and facilitate effective classroom interactions using appropriate non-verbal and visual methods.
Collaborate closely with academic staff to break down complex tasks and monitor progress toward individual learning goals.
Promote learner independence by encouraging the effective use of specialist assistive technology and study strategies.
Maintain detailed and timely records of student development to comply with departmental auditing standards.
Assist with exam accommodations, serving as an official reader, scribe, or invigilator when required.
Guide student behavior constructively while maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured educational environment.
Essential Requirements
Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language alongside relevant supporting credentials in education support.
Demonstrated history of assisting individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational or community setting.
Clear understanding of the distinct educational obstacles faced by hearing-impaired individuals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey instructions clearly and accurately.
Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding standards, inclusive practices, and health and safety compliance.
Satisfactory Enhanced DBS clearance with barred list check. Desired but not essential: Familiarity with digital learning platforms and experience supporting a broader range of neurodivergent needs.
