Job Description - Broker Direct Relationship Manager

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Broker Direct Relationship Manager.


 


This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Brokerage Team, focused on establishing commercial relationships with intermediaries operating primarily within the SME market.

In this role you’ll:


 



  • Cultivate and manage relationships with brokers and other introducers to drive business opportunities

  • Use credit analysis to deliver appropriate commercial lending solutions off the back of broker-led introductions

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely issuance of credit approved terms and seamless onboarding of clients introduced by brokers

  • Build a strong understanding of the client’s business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes by treating customers fairly

  • Ensure adherence to all applicable operational risk, our standards and policies, reporting any breaches in accordance with local procedures


 


To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:


 



  • Experience within commercial lending, business development, business banking and credit analysis

  • Influencing skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with our customers, colleagues and stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling productive dialogue with internal and external customers

  • The ability to gather, analyse and interpret comprehensive information and/or customer requirements in order to provide solutions that are commercially viable and sustainable

  • The ability to anticipate and identify risks and ensures appropriate steps are taken to mitigate and manage them
