An ambitious and well-established construction consultancy is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated BSA Principal Designer to join their expanding team in the North.

This flexible position offers a choice between regional or national work, making it ideal for professionals who want control over their travel and project exposure.

With offices across the North, this role is ideally suited to candidates within commuting distance of any Northern hub, but remote flexibility is available for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a BSA Principal Designer from either an architectural or CDM background, with solid experience in building safety regulations and Principal Designer duties under the Building Safety Act.

The BSA Principal Designer Role

• Acting as Principal Designer in line with the Building Safety Act
• Advising on building safety compliance from early design through to construction
• Collaborating closely with in-house CDM and design professionals
• Working across a mix of commercial, residential, and public sector projects
• Flexible approach to travel - local project focus or wider national remit

The BSA Principal Designer

• Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations
• Background in Architecture or CDM Principal Designer roles
• NEBOSH Construction, TechIOSH or IMaPS/CMaPS preferred
• RIBA or similar is a bonus
• Capable of providing clear safety and design advice at all stages
• Based anywhere in the North of England - travel and office days flexible
