Prospero Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a Primary School which is a LA school is seeking a British Sign Language trained TA to help with hearing impaired children 5 days a week, the school require the lead to have experience in EYFS, SEN, Primary School, BSL and have First Aid/ Willing to learn. The ideal candidate will be local and able to work Monday- Friday 8.30- 15.30 and have knowledge of ASD, Hearing Impairments and Visual Impairements (Braille) under the support of a fantastic SENco and inclusion lead.

The Ideal Candidate:
Level 3 TA
BSL trained
Makaton trained
Paediatric First Aid (willing to train)
Mental Health First Aid trained (willing to train)
Experience with SALT intervention in deaf and hearing impaired children
Available Full-time (term time only)
SEN inclusion awareness and driven
Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and training basic Makaton/ BSL
SEN awareness as they are an inclusion focused learning provider
Be willing to support children with hearing, visual impairments and ASD
They are at capacity with pupils on rotation, but are extending the site, so someone who can support with operations on this
Create a warm,inclusive, positive and nurturing atmosphere for children, parents and colleagues
Ensure all staff are compliant with training, CPD and interventions
Provided:

BEAM training to support inclusion
SALT training and CPD to support speech and Language
Lego Therapy training to promote learning through play and sensory development
Refreshers on First Aid
