Job Description - Build Manager (Contract)

We have 6000+ mast site locations, have connected 2000+ buildings and support 200+ outdoor networks. Our managed sites include some of the biggest, most challenging wireless environments in the UK, including railway stations, Canary Wharf, City of London and events like the London Olympics.

Due to continued growth, Freshwave Group are looking for a Build Manager to join the team for a 7-month contract. This resource will be on site 5 days a week.

You will be expected to manage delivery of a DAS project at a stadium in Liverpool. This will involve overseeing contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring that contractual targets and deadlines are met. You will play a vital role in managing the relationships with key client stakeholders. Freshwave Group is a leading specialist provider in the indoor DAS deployment vendor. This is including network design, build, installation and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for meeting delivery targets for the Liverpool stadium DAS project
  • Expectation to be on-site for majority of the build through to handover of service
  • Managing key stakeholder communications and leading daily/weekly project meetings
  • Managing the day-to-day interactions with MNO’s, contractors and customers and maintaining and growing relationships
  • Management to existing processes and systems to support effective contract management and collaborative delivery
  • Leading the correct safety and quality behaviours across the build
  • Planning and supervising on-site deployment activities
  • Coordinating with contractors daily and ensuring they understand their scope on day-to-day tasks
  • Daily progress updates to be communicated internally and externally
  • Identifying key risks during build stage and putting measures in place to mitigate/control. Providing daily communication to client senior management
  • Producing and reviewing of site-specific RAMS and ensuring all site works are completed in a safe and controlled manner by sub-contractors and internal staff
  • This role will be supported by a Project Manager (hybrid remote and onsite) and a Portfolio Manager (remote with some site visits) for the duration of the project.

Knowledge and experience:

  • Previous experience of managing DAS deployments
  • Knowledge of NRSWA,
  • CSCS card or ECS card
  • Very good communication skills
