Building and Fire Safety Manager

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Building and Fire Safety Manager to join Cheshire West and Chester Council on an initial 6-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Line management of a small number of frontline staff

*

Contract management and procurement of contractors undertaking Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs)

*

Oversight and reporting of FRA actions and progress against completion targets.

*

Management of building safety regulatory requirements relating to three high-rise residential tower blocks.

*

Oversight and assurance of fire safety works being completed at the tower blocks.

*

Direct engagement with the Building Safety Regulator as required.

*

Direct engagement with Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service as required.

*

Management of ad hoc enquiries and complaints relating to building and fire safety.

Essential Requirements

*

Demonstrable experience in both Building Safety and Fire Safety, including a strong understanding of requirements arising from the Building Safety Act 2022.

Previous experience as a building and fire safety manager
