Interim Building Control Lead

£75 per hour Umbrella | 3-month contract with potential extension

We are currently seeking an experienced Building Control Interim Lead to take responsibility for leading and managing a Building Control service within a local authority environment.

The Role

As Building Control Interim Lead, you will:

* Lead and manage the Building Control service, ensuring effective and high-quality service delivery.

* Provide professional advice and guidance to the organisation and key stakeholders on all aspects of Building Control, Building Safety and associated matters.

* Ensure compliance with relevant Building Control and Building Safety statutory requirements.

* Lead on the implementation of the Building Safety Levy.

* Develop and lead strategies for the marketing and promotion of the service, with a focus on increasing market share.

* Lead and manage the implementation and maintenance of service quality assurance standards, ensuring compliance with Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements.

* Ensure consistently high standards of service delivery for service users and stakeholders.

* Support the Assistant Director with the development and implementation of relevant service strategies.

* Contribute to the delivery of wider corporate strategies and priorities, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and external partner organisations.

Location & Working Arrangements

Office: Thrapston, Northamptonshire

Hybrid working is available and will be discussed at interview.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to attend the office and undertake site visits across the local area at least 3 days per week.

Contract Details

* Rate: £75 per hour Umbrella

* Contract: 3 months initially, with potential for extension

* Working arrangement: Hybrid

* Location: Thrapston / North Northamptonshire area

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Control professional with strong local authority experience to take on a senior interim leadership position and play a key role in service delivery, compliance and strategic development
