Maintenance Technician – Buildings & Infrastructure
Job Description
We are looking for a practical and proactive Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and continuous improvement of our buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. This hands-on role is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities across a wide range of building systems, ensuring our site remains safe, compliant, and operational.
Working as part of the Site Maintenance team, you will perform repairs and maintenance activities across plumbing, carpentry, decorating, HVAC, electrical systems, and general building fabric, while supporting preventative maintenance programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Person
You are a skilled maintenance professional with a strong background in building and facilities maintenance. You enjoy solving problems, take pride in maintaining high standards, and are committed to working safely at all times.
You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with the ability to prioritise tasks, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and respond quickly to operational issues. You bring a proactive approach to identifying improvements and helping create a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician – Buildings & Infrastructure plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of Baxi's facilities and infrastructure.
The role involves delivering both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, supporting statutory compliance requirements, managing contractors on site, and contributing to continuous improvement activities. The position is physically demanding and includes manual handling, working at height, operating power tools, working in confined spaces, and carrying out external building maintenance activities.
