Building Services Engineer

Parkside Recruitment are seeking an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join their clients growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an intermediate or senior-level professional looking to work on technically complex projects across commercial, heritage, education, and science sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality building services designs, managing project performance, and contributing to team development and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee mechanical or electrical designs in line with project requirements and industry regulations.
• Manage site inspections and monitor contractor work to ensure alignment with specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Support and mentor junior staff members, contributing to a culture of learning and growth.
• Assist with business development, fee proposals, and tender submissions.
• Lead meetings and serve as Contract Administrator when required.
• Drive health and safety best practices, including risk assessments and compliance oversight.

• Background in building services engineering (mechanical or electrical).
• Strong experience with project delivery and contractor coordination.
• Familiarity with compliance, H&S legislation, and design standards.
• Excellent communication skills and team leadership experience.
• Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
