Building Surveying Manager

We are looking for an experienced Building Surveying Manager to lead a professional surveying team and oversee the delivery of housing maintenance, planned maintenance and major capital improvement programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and develop a team of surveying professionals and technical officers.

*

Lead high-value and complex building projects from feasibility through to completion.

*

Oversee maintenance, repairs, capital improvement and refurbishment programmes.

*

Manage budgets, procurement, contracts, quality, health & safety and compliance.

*

Prepare specifications, drawings, estimates and contract documentation.

*

Liaise with senior management, contractors, customers and other stakeholders.

*

Lead service improvements, resolve complex complaints and contractor disputes.

*

Provide professional advice and contribute to housing policies and strategies.

Key Requirements:

*

Building-related degree/professional qualification with significant post-qualification experience.

*

Strong building surveying, project management and contract management experience.

*

Experience managing staff and working with contractors and stakeholders.

*

Knowledge of building, health & safety and relevant regulatory requirements.

*

IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent; professional membership desirable.

*

Strong communication, negotiation, organisational and problem-solving skills
