Building Surveyor

A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property and construction environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to deliver a full range of traditional Building Surveying services across both public and private sector projects, assisting in the management of client and project teams to ensure high-quality service delivery from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Delivering projects, commissions, and professional assignments from inception to completion
• Undertaking building surveys, dilapidations, and contract administration duties
• Managing effective communication and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting the growth and development of a new office with a strong say in its future direction

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• MRICS (Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience)
• BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or equivalent construction-related qualification
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience in residential and commercial property sectors
• Strong technical skills in dilapidations, defects analysis, party wall matters, and contract administration
• Competency in statutory compliance, façade services (including EWS1), and design/feasibility assessments

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £60,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance.
