An established and expanding compliance consultancy is currently seeking a Building Tester to join their growing team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a technically capable and motivated individual with experience in air or extract testing, or a solid understanding of building regulations.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting air permeability, extract fan, and smoke testing in line with industry regulations. The role involves regular travel to client sites, followed by reporting and certification duties back at the office.

The company offers excellent support for professional development, including fully funded training and accreditation pathways in areas such as commercial air testing, sound testing, and thermographic surveying.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out air, extract, and smoke testing on a range of domestic and commercial developments
• Prepare and issue test reports and compliance certificates in accordance with relevant standards
• Liaise professionally with clients and site teams during testing visits
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to internal reporting procedures
• Support the broader compliance team as required

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in air or extract testing, or familiarity with UK building regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Comfortable in client-facing environments
• Proficient with IT and report writing tools
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• A professional, adaptable, and motivated attitude
