Buildings Officer

Position: Buildings Officer
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (split shifts)

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Buildings Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and smooth operation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Key handling and security management
• Performing a variety of DIY tasks
• Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
• Coordinating with external agencies and contractors
• Understanding and managing legionella and asbestos risks
• Utilizing strong IT skills for various tasks
• Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Acting with initiative to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Strong DIY skills
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
• Experience in coordinating with outside agencies and contractors
• Understanding of legionella and asbestos management
• Strong IT skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to act with initiative and complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
