We are currently supporting a renowned three-form entry primary school in North West London in their search for an experienced and capable School Bursar to join their leadership and administrative team from September 2025.

About the Role:

As School Bursar, you will:

• Lead on the financial management and planning across the school, including budget setting, forecasting, and reporting to SLT and Governors.
• Oversee payroll, procurement, and contract management.
• Manage HR-related administration, including staffing contracts and recruitment compliance.
• Liaise with the Headteacher, Trust/LA, and external agencies.
• Oversee the premises and facilities team, ensuring health and safety regulations are met.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and act as the Data Protection Officer.
• Manage SIMS and finance systems such as FMS/Sage/PS Financials.

About the Candidate:

This role would suit someone with:

• Proven school bursar or business management experience (ideally in a maintained or academy primary school).
• Excellent financial acumen and the ability to oversee complex budgets.
• Strong communication, discretion, and leadership skills.
• A calm and professional approach to multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• School Bursar or School Business Manager experience.
• Finance qualifications or SBM-related training (e.g. CSBM/DSBM) desirable.
• Excellent ICT and MIS skills (Excel, SIMS, finance software).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
