About the Role
The Business Analyst is responsible for shaping, developing, and managing end-to-end business solutions. This includes conducting business analysis activities, developing and managing business requirements, and ensuring the delivery of benefits across projects within the change portfolio. The role involves working closely with stakeholders, operational teams, technical teams, and solution vendors to translate requirements into specifications and drive business efficiencies through process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete stakeholder analysis to scope and plan business analysis activities, ensuring outputs contribute effectively to the overall delivery plan and align with IT/IM Architecture Design Principles.
• Lead the requirements management process through the full delivery lifecycle through effective elicitation, validation and prioritisation, ensuring clear and testable acceptance criteria.
• Manage traceability of, changes to, and refinement of requirements, identifying issues and omissions and managing escalations with senior stakeholders.
• Work with cross functional operational teams, technical teams and solution vendors to translate requirements into specifications.
• Define, analyse, and improve business processes using techniques such as Lean or Lean Six Sigma to drive business efficiencies and improvements in service.
• Produce artefacts such as Process Taxonomies, Process Designs, Functional Specifications, Business Requirements Documents and Requirements Traceability matrices.
• Support solution testing and business acceptance by ensuring requirements and business processes are aligned with the solution design and testing scenarios.
• Complete process impact assessments to inform training needs and change adoption plans.
• Produce consolidated and focussed analysis to drive effective decision making with senior stakeholders..
• Maintain a good knowledge of leading business practice and technology both inside and outside of the sector, identifying opportunities to improve business efficiency.

Skills & Experience

• Proven track record of working autonomously as Business Analyst on a range of projects from initiation through to operational acceptance.
• Experience of requirements management through the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience of business process modelling methods, with a proven track record of delivering quantifiable process improvements through the application of different techniques.
• Significant Business Analysis experience and prior coverage of delivering in waterfall/iterative/agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience of using data to enable evidenced based decision making.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively lead, facilitate and provide constructive challenge.
• Excellent written, numerical, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools.
• Partial (or working towards) BCS Diploma in Business Analysis.
• IT or Business-related degree or relevant professional experience.

Salary & Benefits
You can expect a competitive salary in the region of £56,504 (depending on experience) along with a range of benefits including membership to a private healthcare scheme, contributory pension, flexible working, 25 days holiday (option to purchase up to 5 additional days) and hybrid working (2 to 3 days a week in the Oldham office).
