Corporate Business Analyst
to join our team on a
12-month fixed-term contract
in Belfast.
Role Overview: As a
Corporate Business Analyst , you will play a crucial role in supporting our line of business applications, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include eliciting user requirements, developing specifications, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities: User Requirements Elicitation : Work closely with business users to understand their needs through structured analysis. Specifications Development : Assist in creating detailed specifications for the acquisition and development of line-of-business applications. Documentation : Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Testing and Release Processes : Apply appropriate testing regimes and ensure timely solution delivery. Reporting Services and Toolsets : Facilitate the development of reporting services and toolsets for business users. Corporate and KPI Reports : Design and publish corporate and KPI reports within the corporate Business Intelligence (B.I.) framework. Data Integrity and System Integration : Create and maintain corporate indices to support system integration and data integrity. Technical Support : Provide technical support for client records and document management processes. Training : Develop and deliver training for IT staff and business users.
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience
in a role involving significant data analysis and presentation. Proficiency in working with
large relational databases
and data management tools. Degree
in Business, Computer Science (or equivalent) with a focus on databases and data modelling,
or
a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience. Knowledge of
SQL queries and reports . Experience with
BI tools , particularly
Power BI . Familiarity with
Azure Data Factory
and
Azure Synapse . Understanding of
IT industry developments
and awareness of legislation. Strong communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions. Effective collaboration with IT and business counterparts. Good organizational skills and ability to work within a team environment.
Desirable Skills: Experience handling
cross-functional issues
and prioritization. Proficiency in using
data modelling tools
(e.g., UML). Ability to translate corporate business decision support and KPI requirements into a
self-service reporting framework . Accreditation in
